Dr. Trudy Dunlap
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Dunlap holds a B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Memphis and completed a rotating nutrition internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the VA Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Dunlap practiced as a Registered Dietitian with advanced certification in Nutritional Support in critical care and trauma. After practicing for several years at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Dr. Dunlap decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She felt this was a way to marry two passions – medicine and animals. Dr. Dunlap earned her DVM from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Dunlap completed advanced training in acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, including surgery, critical care, and internal medicine. Some of her favorite patients are geriatric old souls. Dr. Dunlap lives on a small farm surrounded by horses, goats, chickens, geese, and a special turkey named George. She is married to Alex and has 2 children, Hannah and Will, who are twins. Her best friend is a Border Collie named Holly.
