Roo-ceptionist / Clinic Support Canine
Is a native Memphian who was found in a Walmart parking lot by her mom, Kristi. Roo was born with microphthalmia which caused both her eyes to not develop fully so as a result, she has been blind her whole life. This doesn't stop her from being the totally awesome dog that she is! Roo specializes in snuggles, tail wags, and supporting our clinic in the day-to-day bustle of business. In her home life, she enjoys playing with her best buddy Kevin, who is a chihuahua mix, and snuggling on the couch with her mom. She will always sit for a treat, but prefers snuggles to treats any day of the week. Roo is a hugely intuitive support pup for the foster dogs in her home and is always happy to sit with the sick ones or wag her tail to gently encourage the scared ones. At work, you can often find Roo snoozing the day away under the desk at the check-out window, but she loves meeting new people and will always perk up to say hello to a new friend. Roo has always been a determined little girl and never let her blindness hold her back from experiencing all the best things life has to offer a dog. She frequently enjoys car rides, pup-cups, snoozing in the sun, playing outside, and exploring the world with her nose as her guide. Roo has won the hearts of the staff at Kelsey Canine and we are certain she will win you over, too!
